This Privacy Policy explains how ajiho collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit ajiho.io (the “Site”), contact us, or engage us for our services. It should be read together with our Cookie Policy.

Who we are

“ajiho”, “we”, “us” refers to AJIHO Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202633484W), incorporated in Singapore, and AJIHO Ltd., incorporated in the United Kingdom (company number 17418814). Which entity is responsible for your personal data depends on the context: for clients, it is the ajiho entity that contracts with you (the Singapore entity for Asia-Pacific clients, the UK entity for UK, European and Middle East clients); for general enquiries through the Site, ajiho is responsible collectively. We comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”) and, where it applies, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (the “UK GDPR”).

The personal data we collect

We collect only what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Enquiries and forms — when you contact us through the Site, the name, email address, company and any message or information you choose to provide.
• Client information — where you engage us, the information needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including identity and background information collected for anti-money-laundering checks.
• Business contacts and marketing — contact details of people at organisations we work with or may work with.
• Technical and usage data — limited, non-identifying information about how the Site is used, collected through privacy-first, cookieless analytics, together with standard server information (such as IP address) processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the Site.

We do not seek to collect special categories of data (such as health data), and ask that you do not send them to us through the Site.

How and why we use your data

We use personal data to: respond to your enquiries and provide information you request; provide and administer our services and manage our relationship with you; meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including anti-money-laundering and tax-reporting requirements; keep the Site secure and understand, in aggregate, how it is used; and, where appropriate, send you information about our services.

Where the UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract and performing that contract; our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business (balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and, where required, your consent. Where the PDPA applies, we rely on your consent or on the exceptions the PDPA permits, including for business contact information.

Marketing and your choices

We will only send you marketing where we are permitted to, and you can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing us at info@ajiho.io. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications necessary to provide our services.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary: with the other ajiho entity, so we can serve you across regions; with service providers who support our business under confidentiality obligations, including our website host and forms processor and our analytics provider; with our professional advisers and insurers; and with regulators, tax authorities, courts or other bodies where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

International transfers

ajiho operates across borders, and your personal data may be processed outside Singapore or the United Kingdom — for example, by our hosting or service providers. Where it is, we take steps intended to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA and, where the UK GDPR applies, that an appropriate safeguard or transfer mechanism is in place.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. In general, we keep unsuccessful enquiries for up to 12 months, client engagement records for six years, or any such period required by law, after the engagement ends, and marketing contacts until you ask us to stop.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you access to the personal data we hold about you and to correct it; withdraw any consent you have given; and, where the UK GDPR applies, ask us to erase it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it in a portable form. Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC); in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we require those who process it on our behalf to do the same.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies only as described in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
