ajiho launches — financial transactions specialists, across transfer pricing, treasury and tax
1 September 2026 · London and Singapore
ajiho, a specialist advisory firm, launches today. Led by former Big Four financial transactions specialist Martin Dathan, the firm advises across transfer pricing, treasury, tax and the finance function.
The firm’s specialism is financial transactions transfer pricing (FTTP): pricing the intercompany loans, guarantees and cash pools that groups use to finance themselves, and defending that pricing to tax authorities. It is work that sits between treasury, which structures the financing, and tax, which has to justify it — a space few advisers cover well, and the one ajiho is built to fill.
A different model, deliberately
ajiho is built for ambitious businesses that need genuine specialist depth in financial transactions — mid-market multinationals, large corporates and private-equity-backed groups. Every engagement is led by a specialist and works both sides of the transaction. The model is deliberate: you deal with experts, and those experts do the work. Streamlined by design, it is built to give you more, not less.
Where treasury meets tax
The core service lines span credit analysis, intercompany loan pricing, guarantee fee analysis, cash pool pricing and implicit support analysis, alongside treasury benchmarking, policy design and transfer pricing documentation — all following the OECD Guidelines, and Chapter X in particular. Where a client lacks a treasury function, ajiho can fill that role too.
Global from the outset
ajiho operates through two entities — AJIHO Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and AJIHO Ltd. in the United Kingdom — serving clients across Asia-Pacific, the UK, Europe, the Nordics and the Middle East. The firm is built to run independently of any single location.
Signal
Alongside its advisory work, ajiho publishes Signal — open analysis of the court rulings, market moves and sector shifts shaping financial transactions. At launch, Signal already carries a library of analysed FT cases from courts and tribunals worldwide, regular market reads, and sector coverage across real estate, renewables, infrastructure and private equity.
“In a world changing faster than ever, there is a genuine need for specialist, senior advice on how businesses finance themselves — and for advisers with deep technical knowledge who work properly across treasury and tax. ajiho is built to meet it. I have immense gratitude to the colleagues and clients who have brought me to this point, and I’m proud to launch ajiho — to help businesses grow, and, more broadly, to connect people across borders.”Martin Dathan, Founder & Principal
